The project involved the remedial strip-out and full reinstatement of a retail unit following the discovery of long-term concealed water damage.
The unit had undergone a refurbishment 4 years prior to our involvement, which included the installation of multiple shower cubicles, with waste pipework routed beneath a raised flooring system. It was later identified that several shower wastes had not been correctly connected to the drainage system, resulting in prolonged wastewater discharge beneath the raised platform floor. This led to significant corrosion of the steel-framed stud partitioning throughout. JP Bedfords oversaw the full strip out of the retail premises back to a its shell, with all compromised materials removed.
A comprehensive reinstatement was then undertaken, including a full internal fit-out in compliance with modern building and hygiene regulations.
