Contract Administration & Project Monitoring
JP Bedfords managed the repair and reinstatement of a detached residential property following a significant fire.
The fire destroyed the majority of the truss roof structure and caused extensive damage to the loft and rooms below. The works were tendered and let under a JCT Minor Works with Contractors Design 2016 contract, commencing in April 2023. Upon exposing the retained sections of the roof, it was identified that these did not comply with current building regulations, necessitating full roof replacement and the specification of upgraded insulation to meet Part L requirements, ensuring a compliant and technically robust reinstatement.
