£65,000 – £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Building Surveyors – Midlands / Central England / Northern Home Counties;

Due to the continued growth of our reputation within the insurance sector, we are seeking experienced Chartered Building Surveyors to support an increasing and diverse workload.

This is a busy, varied, and rewarding role involving a wide range of projects, primarily within the insurance sector. You will be involved in reinstating residential and commercial properties across all forms of construction. With ambitious expansion plans over the coming years, this is an exciting time to join JP Bedfords and be part of our ongoing success.

 

Key Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Highly organised, efficient, and reliable
  • Professional in approach, with a commitment to a long-term career
  • MRICS qualified
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Experienced in project management, design, defect diagnosis and contract administration
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • CDM Regulations 2015
    • Party Wall etc. Act 1996
    • Building Regulations. Planning and Listed Building Legislation

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings
  • Undertake measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and investigations
  • Assess building conditions and develop repair solutions
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Manage tender processes and post-tender analysis
  • Oversee works in line with recognised building contracts and technical standards
  • Act as project lead, delivering professional consultancy services independently
  • Apply relevant legislation including health & safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning
  • Contribute to business development and promote company services
